Background : Hepatocellular adenomas are rare benign liver tumors with the capacity to undergo malignant transformation. The male-to-female ratio in the incidence of hepatocellular adenoma is approximately 1:10. Surgery is recommended for tumor size larger than 5 cm patients and all male patients. Indocyanine Green imaging in its new clinical applications recently purposed in various branches of surgical medicine. Routine intraoperative use of indocyanine green could pave the way for a more objective assessment of different surgical circumstances and thereby reduce personalized barriers to aciurgy.
Methods : We performed laparoscopic hepatic resection using indocyanine green in 2 male patients with indications for surgery according to the recommendations.
Results : Using indocyanine green fluorescence, the entire non-exophytic tumor was clearly visible in the rat and the edges were clearly defined during surgery. The operation was successful without any complication.
Conclusions : The usage of indocyanine green fluorescence in hepatocellular adenoma on surgical field.
