Background : Recently, laparoscopic articulating instrument (ArtiSential) has been used in various clinical surgical fields. The articulating instrument is expected to be able to help with laparoscopic anastomosis at a lower price than a robot system. This video showed reconstruction of a left dominant-intrahepatic extrahepatic choledochal cyst using an artisential instrument after laparoscopic liver resection.
Methods : This video showed hepatidojejunostomy reconstruction of a left dominant-intrahepatic and extrahepatic choledochal cyst using an artisential needle holder after laparoscopic liver resection.
Results : Operation time was 320 min and blood loss was 470 ml. Patient discharged postoperative day 7 without complication.
Conclusions : ArtiSential instruments is able to applied in HBP surgery especially laparoscopic anastomosis such as hepaticojejunostomy.
